## What he is working on now

- **Mars as an AI-first school.** Children aged 7–17 learn to build real things with AI agents and publish them on the school's own hosting at marshub.uz, which has 200+ live student sites. The rule in class is that AI guides with questions and never hands over the answer.
- **Modme with AI inside.** In September 2026 an AI assistant panel went live for every active Modme centre. Directors and administrators ask questions about their own students, payments and groups in plain language.
- **His own agent tooling.** He builds and runs his companies' operations with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex): a multi-agent terminal, an LLM proxy with wallets for students, lesson pipelines, and automation for support and marketing. His code is on [GitHub](https://github.com/ryuldashev).

## What he researches

- **Malleable software.** His thesis: agents make software reshapable by its users. A school director or a child describes what they need and the tool changes. His image for it: "Emacs extended by your agents, not Lisp".
- **AI tools for children.** Design rules he applies at Mars: every action is reversible, the agent shows what it is doing, the child can reshape the tool itself. Children should be operators of agents, not consumers of apps.
- **Public research and builds.**
  - [agx](https://github.com/ryuldashev/agx): his open-source fork of agterm, a macOS terminal for running AI agents side by side.
  - [Terminal Studio](https://terminal-studio.marshub.uz): connecting Claude to video generation, under $10 per reel ([post](https://t.me/ruslanonline/665)).
  - [Phone farms](https://phone-farms.marshub.uz): research on the phone-farm market and its legality ([post](https://t.me/ruslanonline/658)).
  - [Damin's games](https://damin.marshub.uz): games he builds with his son using AI ([post](https://t.me/ruslanonline/657)).
  - All are published on marshub.uz, the Mars platform where students and staff host their projects.

## Background

- **Childhood.** He first met computing at about eight, on a Subor game console with built-in BASIC that his father bought. He got his own computer at 13.
- **Self-taught.** He learned Visual Basic, then HTML and CSS by reading the source of websites, then PHP and Python. He did freelance sites and internships in Tashkent.
- **Yandex.** He worked in Yandex's education division. His last salaried role there was head of a development team.
- **US startups.** He worked remotely for Silicon Valley companies, including Mavrx, an agritech startup for farms in California and Wisconsin. A US work visa was out of reach without a diploma. He talked about this openly in a [2020 interview](https://www.spot.uz/ru/2020/08/21/yuldashev/).
- **2020: Modme.** He co-founded it with Jakhongir Pulatov during the pandemic. The first two centres joined in the first month. Modme made its first profit in month 15 and broke even in month 18 ([Spot.uz, 2023](https://www.spot.uz/ru/2023/03/07/modme-crm/)).
- **2021: Mars IT School.** He co-founded it as an offline coding school for children in Tashkent. He led product and education, and has been CEO since January 2026.

## Cases

### Modme: from two centres to an international EdTech SaaS
- **Problem.** Private learning centres in Uzbekistan ran attendance, payments and groups on paper and in Excel.
- **What he did.** He built the product as CTO and sold it from day one, before it was finished.
- **Result.**
  - Hundreds of centres joined; it has 200+ clients today.
  - It won first place at IT Park.
  - The founder of amoCRM came in as an adviser and early investor.
  - UzVC invested $100K at a $1.25M valuation.
  - It launched in Indonesia.

He has spoken publicly about the hard part too. The first year in Indonesia cost about $25K and had not broken even ([WE Project, 2024](https://www.weproject.media/articles/detail/iz-uzbekistana-v-yugo-vostochnuyu-aziyu-opyt-masshtabirovaniya-startapa-modme/)).

### Mars IT School: consolidating kids' coding education in Tashkent
- **Problem.** Coding schools for children in Uzbekistan were small and fragmented, and their quality depended on individual teachers.
- **What he did.** He built Mars around its own curriculum, gamification (students earn coins for activity instead of grades) and its own learning platform. In 2025 Mars acquired Juniorcode and Robot Machines and kept their teachers.
- **Result.** Mars has 2,000+ students in seven branches. In 2026 it began moving to an AI-first model.

### Mentoring: a student's Telegram bot sold for $150,000
- **Who.** Kamronbek Osimjonov came to him as a programming student.
- **What he did.** He advised starting with simple Telegram bots and mentored Kamronbek for about two years.
- **Result.** In 2021 Kamronbek sold his bot to a Russian company for $150,000. The bot removed watermarks from TikTok videos and had 4.5M users. He and Ruslan flew to Ufa together to close the deal ([Spot.uz, 2021](https://www.spot.uz/ru/2021/11/11/bot/)). Kamronbek later became one of the investors in Mars IT School.

### Running a company with AI agents
- **Problem.** Routine operations ate the founders' time: ads, support, reports, content.
- **What he did.** He gave these tasks to AI agents he built and configured himself. In 2026 he replaced an outsourced ad targeter with Claude Code.
- **Result.** Agents handle most routine work. A lesson he made public: an agent once deleted a channel post that had reactions and comments, and it could not be restored. Since then, irreversible actions by agents always need a human check.

## What he believes

- **Sell from day one.** He sold Modme before the product was finished ([The Tech, 2024](https://the-tech.kz/?p=13578)).
- **A diploma is not the job.** Skills and shipped work matter more. He got into Yandex and US startups without one.
- **AI in class should ask, not answer.** A child who receives a ready answer learns nothing. AI should lead the child to it with questions.
- **"We'll teach you the method — code is now written by the agent."** This is how he hires teachers for Mars in 2026 ([post](https://t.me/ruslanonline/671)).
- **Subscriptions are losing ground in B2B SaaS for emerging markets.** He argued for moving to transaction fees in 2024.
- **Agents are colleagues, not magic.** They need clear rules, a human check before irreversible steps, and an honest account of their failures.

## Topics he can speak about

- AI agents in a real business: Claude Code, Codex, multi-agent setups, costs and failure modes.
- AI in children's education: Socratic tutoring, vibe coding for kids, what AI should not do in class.
- Running a chain of offline kids' schools: hiring and training mentors, retention, gamification, mergers.
- B2B SaaS for education centres in emerging markets: Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan.
- A self-taught path into engineering without a degree.
- Telegram security and phishing schemes aimed at parents and small businesses.

## What he is looking for (October 2026)

- **People for the team:** backend engineers who work with AI, and AI trainers who can teach children to build with agents.
- **Talks and public projects:** AI in schools, children's coding, building EdTech in Uzbekistan. He is open to work with ministries and international programmes on children's digital skills.
- **Collaborations:** companies, universities and EdTech teams that want to run a course, a programme or a pilot with Mars or Modme.

## Who should meet him

- **Investors and strategic partners in Central Asian EdTech.** Mars and Modme are among the larger EdTech players in Uzbekistan's private education market.
- **Owners of learning centres and schools** who want software and AI for operations (Modme).
- **Founders and teams adopting AI agents.** He shares how this works in practice, including what breaks.
- **Companies and institutions working on children's digital skills in Uzbekistan:** partnerships, programmes, joint courses.
- **Engineers, AI trainers and teachers** who want to build an AI-first school.
- **People thinking about what education looks like when AI writes the code:** futurists, researchers, product people.
